I
was introduced to hunting 5 years ago by best friend. We
did not start off small but went big game hunting in Colorado
for Elk. Out of 4 hunters I was the only one that did not
get anything that trip but was hooked on the sport. We have
done various hunts since and used various Taxidermist as
well, from out of state to within the area, with mixed results.
This season, our big adventure was to go for Caribou in Canada.
First day of our hunt, I bagged my limit, two, granted not
huge trophy mounts but awesome looking animals. Well the
best part of this is that out of 6 hunters in our party,
I was the only one that got anything. My guess is it made
up for the Colorado trip but I don’t think they agree
with that statement! All in all, an exciting hunt and trip,
and my first snow mobile ride! After getting my game meat,
cape and horns through customs, I had the task of finding
a good Taxidermist. Again, past experience made me believe
that 8-12 months was normal if lucky! My buddy who introduced
me to hunting many years back had heard of Chuck Glass but
had never used him prior. Figuring I would go check him out,
I called Chuck on my first day back and found him to be friendly
and helpful over the phone. That night I dropped off my Caribou
and checked out his shop. He was very open, again friendly
and we talked not only about my mount and what I wanted,
but hunting as well. He promised me that night that I would
be getting a call from him within 6 months or less. Well,
I was polite, but to be honest when I spoke to my hunting
buddy, we both said “Ya right, they all say that”.
Well I just got my call and picked up my AWESOME looking
mount, and it has only been 3 months!!! Chuck delivered what
he promised, an awesome looking mount and well under the
promised 6 month time frame. He came through and has earned
my future business. Next adventure, Mule deer and maybe another
shot (this time not missed) at an elk in Colorado. We are
planning already, and I plan on not only bringing my hunt
successes (yes - I am more confident this time around) to
Chuck but my hunting buddies successful shots as well. They
were amazed with the results and time limit as well. Mule
Deer or Elk next Chuck!! Thanks again for my awesome looking
mount!
Sincerely

Just
wanted to write a quick note to thank you for what
an awesome job you did with my deer mount. I was a
little nervous at first considering I've never had
any work done by you before (especially with the 6
month guarantee) and being this was the biggest buck
I have ever seen in the woods, let alone killed. Well,
my doubts are gone. I shot this buck on October 22nd,
Montgomery County, Pa, at ~5:45 PM. Came right into
a doe in heat bleat (the can) and gave me a 20 yard
shot. Found him about 40 yards from where I shot him.
Took him to the butcher that night to be caped out
and he dressed out at 205lbs. Saw your card at the
butcher and it turns out one of my friends used you
the year before and was very happy. I took a look at
my friend's mount and liked what I saw. Decided to
checkout your work shop and really liked what I saw.
Very professional looking and clean. Tons of mounts
from all species of animals to check out (deer, bear,
boar, turkey, fox, fish, you name it). It is now January
8th and I am sitting in my family room admiring my
deer over the fire place. 4 months! The quality and
detail is awesome. Looks like he's rutted up, lots
of muscle definition, eyes are great. Looks exactly
how I last pictured him before I let the arrow fly!
You've definitely earned my business and will be getting
plenty of referrals from me. I already told my dad
and he is bringing his buck to you shortly.
Thanks again.

I have spent 8 years hunting in Bucks County looking for a whitetail
buck that in my eyes qualified as mount quality. Spending countless
hours in a tree passing on smaller bucks gave me the opportunity
to finally harvest the wall hanger I strived for.
On November 7, 2009 I arrived at my tree stand in Doylestown. A cold
crisp morning and moonlit woods made for the perfect combination of what
I look forward to every November. With bow in hand and calls at the ready
I sat still listening to grunts in the distance and bleats to follow.
With the sun rising behind me and the pins on the bow coming to life,
I grunted several times and followed with a bleat can. Within 5 minutes
a deer came strolling in from my left and headed straight to me. At 30
yards, the quick flash of antlers got my heart pumping. I quickly brought
my bow up and counted at least 7 nice points. At 20 yards I dropped a
pin behind the shoulder and let the arrow fly. It was a perfect shot
and the buck made it 30 yards before plowing into a tree and falling
over dead. With my trophy in truck, I headed home to show my wife and
2 children.
The buck was a nice 7 point with 16 1/2" spread. Without hesitation
I decided to get my first archery buck mounted. I contacted Chuck Glass,
owner of On Time Taxidermy, to drop off the buck. I dropped him off on
November 8th. I picked him up on February 18th. That is 102 days from
drop off to pick up. That is also just over 3 months time. The mount
is stunning to say the least. For the price, service, quality of work
and especially the FAST turnaround time, it doesn't get any better that
my experience with Chuck. Can't wait to drop another off next year!!!

After hunting
hard with my recurve during the 6 week 2009 archery season,
I was fortunate to harvest a mature doe early on. I spent a
lot of time in many tree stands in Bucks and Montgomery counties. One
of my hunting spots in Mont.Co. showed a lot of sign with many
buck sightings. Having many opportunities at smaller bucks,
I held out knowing the caliber of deer the property held. As
the season was coming to an end I thought I had missed my chance.
Then on Nov. 14 the very last day, I was in stand and at 8:45
am this buck came cruisin by. A few soft grunts turned him
back to stop at 20 yds and an arrow tucked behind his shoulder
brought my season to a climax. I was honored to harvest this
tall tined 8pt. The day before I was at Chucks shop with a
wide 8pt that my dad had harvested and was impressed with his
enthusiasm and attention to detail, so I knew I wanted ON TIME
TAXIDERMY to mount my buck also. Chuck did an outstanding job
on both our deer with realism and detail second to none. Dad
got his mount back in about 3 months and mine was done a week
later. After all trophies on the wall are memories of the hunt
and time spent with friends and family.

In
the 2007 gun season I took what at the time was my biggest
buck in over 30 years of hunting a 17" spread 7 pointer
very near my house in Hilltown Township. So since this was
the
largest buck I had ever harvested I decided that it would
also be the first one I would get mounted . Not knowing
really who to take my trophy to I remember seeing and ad
in the
local paper about On Time Taxidermy . It seemed like a
very reasonable price and the six month or less time frame
for
getting it back was something that interested me . So I
gave them a call and Chuck Glass answered the phone and told
me
to come right over . As I entered Chuck's shop and saw
all of the different mounts he had on display I was very
impressed
. Also after seeing his enthusiasm for my trophy and after
speaking to him for several minutes I knew I had come to
the right place . He showed me the different types of mounts
, ways to display the ears and the position of the head
all of which I had no clue about. After deciding what I wanted
he assured me that he would give me a call in less than
6
months with the finished mount . Sure enough just about
only four and a half months later I got a message on my cell
that
it was done . I can't tell you how happy I was to see my
trophy again and the way it was done was outstanding.
After striking out in 2008 I was excited for the 2009 archery season to begin.
After being unsuccessful all season I finally harvested a nice 16'' spread 12
pointer that had perfect split brow tines on each side on the last morning of
archery season at my brother's camp in Bradford County . The buck came in to
my tink's doe in heat scent at about 9:45 that morning and turned broadside fifteen
yards from my stand . After a double lung shot from my Horton crossbow he only
went about 50 yards before expiring . The split brows on each side made this
buck unique so I again decided to get it mounted . Obviously Chuck at On Time
Taxidermy was going to get my business again . And once again he did a wonderful
job on my trophy and in just over four months time .
Chuck I just wanted to say the quality and the pride you take in your work as
well as your enthusiasm will keep me coming back to you and I will definitely
recommend you to any and all who ask me .
Thanks Again,
Jay Wied
